Jane Pic

Jane Bath, Owner/Landscape Designer

Jane has over 25 years of experience designing over 4000 sites.  She is also the author of The Landscape Design Answer Book published by Cool Springs Press in the fall of 2006.  Signed and personalized copies of her book are available in the Gift Shop.

Jane built Land Arts in 1992.  She discovered Dianthus g. ‘Bath’s Pink’  which has become a top 10 perennial in the United States.  She is constantly being featured in Southern Living and Better Homes and Garden magazines as well as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and has been a guest speaker at numerous places.

Doug Batchelder, Manager     doug@landarts.com

Doug has a four year horticulture degree (BS UGA 2006) from the University of Georgia.  His past experiences include maintenance, landscaping, retail garden centers and growing operations for the past 9 years as well as putting himself through college.

Helen

Helen Thorsby, Flower and container garden expert   helen@landarts.com

Helen had her garden center and florist business, Southland Nurseries and Flowers by Helen, in Cairo, Ga. for 20 years.  Now at Landarts this past 5 years Helen creates beautiful container gardens plus silk arrangements and is single-handedly responsible for growing a majority of the annuals sold at Land Arts.  She helps customers with their individual needs to compliment their home and garden decor.

Ginny Smith

Graduate of West Georgia College in accounting.  Not only the bookkeeper at Land Arts, but the buyer and often the arranger of items in the gift shop.

Tami

Tami Black   tami@landarts.com

Tami runs the front office and takes care of the daily paper work.  She also orders the flowers, seeds, bulbs, camellias, books, chemicals, and clematis for the nursery.  Her knowledge of plant materials and everything sold in the gift shop is most certainly invaluable.  She does most of the quoting for landscape jobs and deciphers Jane’s handwriting.  Tami has an associate’s degree in education and moved here from Chicago into a whole new career of gardening.

Michael Waters

A wonderful resource for plant information and many of our customers appreciate his patience with help in making their plant selections.  He and Doug work the entire nursery fixing irrigation, moving, uploading, and loading plants plus deliveries.  He provides invaluable help with special projects and computer projects.

Melissa Allman

Melissa is a wonderful resource for helping customers with her knowledge of plants and landscape design.
